A finished Beach Hut #1 - Diane Machin

Hi dear blogger friends! Hope you are all basking in the sun & enjoying the hot weather!! Here, I am all geared up for a stitchy afternoon with a tennis Wimbledon final & F1 race :)
I'm back again with my first little beach hut - Designed by Diane Machin & available in the Cross Stitch Crazy mag, June issue -

A few of you told me to be more adventurous with my finishes So, I've listened to you dear friends! And here is my first... and last little hut...

I suppose it doesn't look too bad from the front! I am so not happy with this... The fabric should have joined at the top & unfortunately mine joined at one side My mistake, but I couldn't finish it with the felt, like shown in the mag. So, I've used some ribbon with printed bunting & decided to have it on each side So this helped to hide the joined fabric with ladder stitch The back is a plain piece of aida Because there was no stitching on this piece, when coming to sew I had no reference poin…

Winner! Love Notes - Plum Street Samplers

So who will be stitching Love Notes next???
Be patient, I must show you my finish first!

Alors qui brodera Love Notes?
Patience mes amies, je veux d'abord partager mon tout dernier projet!

It was my first attempt at making a pinkeep
I must have read / watched all the online tutorials I could find!! :D
After a little help from my friends:
Valma's fabulous backing fabric &
Hubby's perfectly guillotined cardboard rectangles
This is what the first step looked like

And here is my first finished pinkeep! Complete with lovely coloured pins & matching cute little ribbons! Not bad for a first go!! I just wish I had added more padding but hey ho, it's a learning curve
Et mainte…
