Ready For Snow - Lizzie Kate

Hello Peeps!

My holiday has been productive on the stitching front.   I have managed to squeeze in another small finish before the end of 2015

Ready For Snow - 6 Snow Belles collection From Lizzie Kate

Stitched on Sew It All 16ct aida fabric blue/pink cloud effect

Worked 2 over 1 using DMC threads Added the little button provided with the chart

Opted for a quick and easy finish - a cube! I have also used Belleboo fabric, pins & ribbon from my stash

Wishing you all a HaPpY NeW YeAr!!

Merry Merry! - Country Cottage Needleworks

Hello Peeps!
I hope you have all had a magical Christmas and are now ready for the New Year

Being on holiday means plenty of stitching and I have another little finish...

Merry Merry!  From Country Cottage Needleworks

My model was stitched on 16ct aida fabric from Sew It All Colour is cloud brown
Worked 2 over 1 using DMC threads

Finished off as a small pinkeep
I am sadly not too impressed with this finish The fabric was somehow twisted & the piece is now off centered :(
Rachel, I made great use of your beautiful ribbon, it suits the design perfectly!

Enjoy the Festive holidays!

Vintage Christmas - Country Cottage Needleworks

Hello Peeps!

A little while ago you might recall I'd started stitching on that project. At the time, I opted to use linen fabric and really wasn't enjoying it... so put it aside.

While sorting out my WIPs a few months ago, I decided to start working on it again but this time on a much nicer fabric of my choice.

So here we are! A festive finish!!

Vintage Christmas from Country Cottage Needleworks

Stitched on overdyed tin colour, 16ct aida fabric from Sew It All 2 over 1 using DMC, CC & WDW threads

To be finished as a flat fold
once I find some matching fabric :)

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Will be back early January with the CJC 2016 Toodles, Mii

Finished off as a cube using fabric & ribbon from my stash. - Again this was a first attempt, so many thanks to Vonna for her tutorials -

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! Toodles, Mii

Tiny Tidings - Lizzie Kate

Hello Peeps!

It might seem like I have gone all quiet these past few months,
but honestly I am stitching! I am always stitching!
Maybe I'm not as fast as I used to be :)

I have recently sent a little surprise Christmas package
to my stitching friends Justine & Rachel

Amongst a few stitching goodies (I won't mention the gorgeous Sew It All fabric) & chocolate
there were 2 handmade pieces for them to treasure.

Dec 25, from Tiny Tidings XIII by Lizzie Kate Stitched on 14ct dark rustico aida fabric 2 over 1 using the recommended DMC threads Finished off as a small flat fold using fabric, ribbons & pins from my stash

- A big thank you to Vonna for her perfect and very helpful tutorials -

Jingle Jingle, from Tiny Tidings XIX - Lizzie Kate
Stitched too on 14 ct aida dark rustico fabric,

Christmas goodness

Hello Peeps! It's starting to look a lot like Christmas... These past few days, I found my letterbox filling up with surprise goodness. First there was a lovely RAK from Andrea. She always make the most perfect finishes with her little crosses.
Well, this beautiful ornament is no exception, Simply Perfect! A little close up!

Then, Jacquie spread some joy too with a sweet handmade felted ornament! Neat & sweet finish. Smells lovely too! Thank you both. You are two talented crafters & I'm delighted to be the recipient of such beautiful pieces. I shall display & admire them during my jolly Christmas holiday :) Toodles, Mii

Little One - Dimensions

Hello Peeps!

I have another finish I can share with you.

This is a birth sampler for my sister's baby. She is due anytime now!
I only need to add the date of birth & rush to the framer... I have blanked out the name for privacy reason.

Little One Dimensions
Based on an original design from Stacey Yacula called Happy Go Lucky

Kit worked 2/1 & 1/1 on 14 count white aida fabric

This was a fun stitch to work on and the finished result is so cute! I hope I will be able to choose the right frame for it.

Bugs & Kisses - Lizzie Kate

Hello Peeps!

Spooky Halloween has been and gone but I have only managed to finish a scary design and thought you'd still like me to share it with you all!

Bugs & Kisses from Lizzie Kate
Stitched on 16 ct cloud lilac fabric from Sewitall (the fabric is gorgeous but sadly my picture doesn't do it justice... I blame today's awful weather)
I have used DMC & Artic Rays threads Worked 2 over 1 for the DMC & 1 over 1 for Artic Rays

My witch has decided to make an appearance without her jewellery - a spider necklace - as I hadn't the requested silver metallic thread!

Short & sweet today I'm going back to my stitching

The Dairy

Hello Peeps!
Long time no see.

Slightly late putting together & publishing this post,
so some of you will probably feels like a bit of déjà vu!!

Following our first meet up last year, JustineRachel & I
decided to organize our own cross stitch retreat!
After a long & much anticipated wait (yes, we were actually counting down the days),
the time had finally arrived to see each other again.
We spent the entire of last weekend at The Dairy.  Our cottage was simply Perfect!

Goody bags were exchanged... all with a Halloween theme.
I have been gifted with the most beautiful pieces.

A sweet little pinkeep made by Justine
- Did you notice, it's a FRENCH witch, just like me! HAHA

There was also plenty of other little treasures:
Chart, choccies, candle, needles, needle box,

 Fabulous fabric & threads

My very own ornament made by Rachel.
She actually surprised us all & finished her Halloween stitching into a beautiful ornament.
Check out those …
